Being a content creator may look like the easiest job on the planet, but that is far from the truth. Being a blogger means spending hours and hours writing the best captions, learning new editing techniques, continuously creating interesting content, and staying up to date with all things social media.

Truthfully speaking, staying motivated to do all these things can be a little daunting. The thing about motivation is that it is limited. It doesn’t last forever. Over the last 2 years I have managed to pick up a few tips and tricks to help stay motivated and on top of my game! Here are my top tips:

Do not compare yourself to others

It is so easy to look at your fellow bloggers and compare their growth with your own, but let me tell you something, they probably do the same thing. It is normal to feel like everyone is progressing and you’re the last person that is running in circles, but it will not do you any good. Whenever you catch yourself playing the comparison game, stop, and take a deep look at your own journey. Looking back at some of your older work its a great way of seeing how far you’ve come and how your skills have improved over time. Seeing how much youve changed can be so motivating, and makes you want to do even better

Surround yourself with positive People

Always have people around you that believe in you and your vision. If you are scared of someone you know making fun of your big dreams, 1) Drop that person, and 2) Dream even bigger! Negative people lead to negative thoughts, positive people lead to innovation and success.

Stay consistent

Take one consistent action every single day, no matter how much you dont feel like it. Doing one small productive task, as small as writing a meaningful caption, can set the tone for your whole day and keep you motivated

Tunnel Vision

A wise woman once said to me, always keep your eye on the prize, tunnel vision. Always keep your end goal in mind, think about how satisfied you will feel once you’ve reached it. None of the smaller, less pleasant tasks will seem like much anymore as long as you achieve your top tier goal

Don’t overthink it

Don’t worry about what you can not control, and instead focus on delivering consistent, quality work. It is so easy to get paralyzed by the constant thoughts of ‘what ifs’ and ‘buts’, trust me i’ve been there myself. The best way to go about it is to let go and continue doing your thing

Peace, Love, & Pixie dust,
