Being a content creator may look like the easiest job on the planet, but that is far from the truth. Being a blogger means spending hours and hours writing the best captions, learning new editing techniques, continuously creating interesting content, and staying up to date with all things social media. Truthfully speaking, staying motivated to do all these things can be a little daunting. The thing about motivation is that it is limited. It doesn’t last forever. Over the last 2 years I have managed to pick up a few tips and tricks to help stay motivated and on top of my game! Here are my top tips: Do not compare yourself to others It is so easy to look at your fellow bloggers and compare their growth with your…

If there is one product that everyone has a giant tub of in their cabinets, its this one. Yes, I’m talking about our beloved – VASELINE I grew up watching my mom slather Petroleum Jelly all over her face, on cuts and burns, and even for nappy rashes, all for good reason! While from a chemical perspective, Vaseline does not have any healing or nourishing properties, it is unmatched in occlusiveness. Which means it can protect wounds physically, by creating a barrier on skin, which in turn prevents transepidermal water loss. Moisture is key to helping skin heal and regenerate. Just like Band-Aids, when applied to a cut or burn it prevents the wound from drying out and getting irritated, helping it heal faster. Fun Fact: Did you know that…

Having spent 2 years on social media, I can tell you that trying to grow your account is not as easy as it seems. Here’s a few tips and tricks I learned during my time on social media 1) Consistency is KEY – Consistency is what will make or break your Instagram/YouTube career. I won’t tell you to post at least once daily, because I know how mentally frustrating it can be if you’re not able to create enough content to do so. Instead, set achievable goals weekly and plan your days around content creation and editing. This way, it’s less over whelming, and you have a plan in place to keep you consistent. 2) Always keep learning – To be a good blogger means to always keep trying to…

I have recently contracted the travel bug, and I blame it on this girls trip I took a few months before my wedding to a hidden gem of Eastern Europe. I was a very stressed out bride to be, can you really blame me though? Planning for a wedding is not easy, especially when you’re Pakistani and the weddings last 5-7 days (which means multiple wedding dresses, makeup appointments, venues, etc) It was in the midst of all the planning and nerves that me and my best friend decided to take a last minute trip and it turned out to be such a blessing! Me and bestie on our way to the airport! We made sure to do our nails for this shot lol Here are some great excuses to…

So you just got engaged to the man of your dreams, CONGRATULATIONS! You’re happy, excited, you hop on to Pinterest and start pinning your favorite dresses and hairstyles. You are literally so overjoyed you could…wait. You go in hyperventilation mode. β€œI don’t know what kind of dress I want! How do I pick a makeup artist?? Omg my skin looks HORRIBLE!!! I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO DO IT ALL!!” You can feel your inner bridezilla awakening. Look, I get it. Being a new bride I can tell you I was definitely THAT bride (a.k.a The Bridezilla) and let me tell you something, there is no shame in being one. Wedding preparation is stressful and it gets to you. Here are a few things I wish someone had told me…

My mom is as old school as they come, and like many Pakistani moms, she is a firm believer of home remedies. Growing up watching her lather her face and body in crazy concoctions, I picked up on a few of her beauty habits too, and I’m so happy I did! I’ll start with with her favorite one Chickpea Flour Mask Mom loves her chickpea flour (Gram flour, or Ψ¨ΫŒΨ³Ω† in Urdu) masks! Her favorite way to use it is to mix it is with a pinch or two of turmeric, honey, and milk. Not only is this a great, natural exfoliant, the zinc found in chickpea flour kills acne causing bacteria, and acts as an anti-inflammatory. I love how gentle and soothing it feels on the skin, and the…
